Permit and Resource Management Division - The Permit and Resource Management Department is responsible for the regulation of land development in the unincorporated areas of Sonoma County.

GIS Maps - PRMD GIS manages the development, maintenance, and distribution of comprehensive planning, land development and natural resource spatial datasets and related databases for the Sonoma County Permit and Resource Management Department. The SCTA RCPA acts as the countywide planning and programming agency for transportation and coordinates climate protection activities countywide.

Business Environmental Alliance - A business-driven community partnership coordinated by the Sonoma County Economic Development Board which centers on the use of business-to-business communication to promote voluntary good environmental practices as a means toward improved financial improvement.

Innovation Council - The Innovation Council is a broad-based group of business and community leaders appointed by the Board of Supervisors that will oversee the development of an economic strategic plan for Sonoma County. The plan will be designed primarily to create actionable strategies to help ensure a viable business climate and a healthy economy in the coming decade, with an emphasis on workforce development, global competitiveness, and efficient use of natural resources.

California Economic Strategy Panel - continuously examines changes in the state’s economic base and industry sectors to develop a statewide vision and strategic initiatives to guide public policy decisions for economic growth and competitiveness. The California Regional Economies Project is currently the lead mechanism for these efforts.

Small Business Award Program  – The annual CoolCalifornia Small Business Award Program is administered by the California Air Resources Board.  The program recognizes small California businesses and organizations (under 100 employees) that have demonstrated exceptional leadership and made notable, voluntary achievements towards reducing their climate impact.

Small Business Financial Resources - The first thing every small business interested in state and federal stimulus projects should know is you are NOT too late. Most of the money designated for federal stimulus projects is still available and will be distributed over the next two years. Furthermore, the stimulus funding is divided into 10 general categories, across multiple agencies, all with varying timelines. Rural Development Business and Cooperative Program - works in partnership with the private sector and community-based organizations to provide financial assistance and business planning. Technical assistance is also provided to rural businesses and cooperatives.  Programs include Business and Industry (B&I) Guaranteed Loans, Intermediary Re lending Program Loans, Rural Business Enterprise Grants, Rural Economic Development Loans and Grants, and Rural Cooperative Development Grants.

Central California Small Business Development Center (CCSBDC) – Grow your business here.  Programs are part of the United States Small Business Administration's national network of SBDC’s.  As such, the programs leverage local, state and federal dollars to strengthen small businesses, and thus, positively impact the state's economy.  The SBDC’s facilitate the success of small business through business management counseling and training, resulting in economic impacts such as the creation and retention of jobs increases in sales and profits, new business starts and more.

The Contractors State License Board (CSLB) protects consumers by licensing and regulating California's construction industry. There are more than 310,000 licensed contractors in the state, in 43 different licensing classifications. In addition to educating consumers about contractors and construction law, CSLB activities include administering examinations to test prospective licensees, issuing licenses, investigating complaints against licensed and unlicensed contractors, issuing citations, suspending or revoking licenses, and seeking administrative, criminal, and civil sanctions against violators.

Water & Sewer Referral List (.pdf) - This is a referral list of agencies and companies in Sonoma County that provide water and/or sewer services. Properties not served by these entities may be on a small well or served by a septic system. The California State Department of Health Services, Drinking Water Field Operations, monitors the small water systems.
