Ventura County Economic Development Association - VCEDA's mission is to advocate for policies, legislation and programs that stimulate business and a vital economy as the foundation for a vibrant quality of life in Ventura County. Ventura County Tax Collector – responsibilities are to collect, process, and invest, safely and prudently, local tax revenues in a consistently effective, cost-efficient and courteous manner, with thoughtful innovation and transparent accountability, so as to provide to the people of Ventura County and local government the highest level of professional service that our abilities and resources allow.  Search Tax Records Online. Ventura County Assessor - Under the California Constitution and the Revenue and Taxation Code, the Assessor has the following responsibilities: Locate all taxable property within Ventura County; Identify the person who owns, claims, possesses, or controls property on the Lien; Establish the assessed value of all taxable property in accordance with the law; and Publish both an annual and supplemental assessment rolls.

Ventura County Recorder - Responsible for the recording of deeds, mortgages, decrees of court, and leases affecting title to real property in the county. This office also maintains Uniform Commercial Code filings, subdivision maps, and vital statistics, including births, deaths and marriages within the county. The Recorder's Office also provides plain, or certified copies of Official Records, and certified copies of Vital Records such as Birth, Death, and Marriage certificates.

Ventura County Clerk - The County Clerk Division issues Marriage License; Fictitious Business Name filings; Notary Public oaths and bonds; power of attorney filings for surety insurers; registers process servers, unlawful detainer assistants and Legal Document Assistant; administers humane and deputy county officer appointments and oaths; certifies Foreign Translation documents.

Ventura County Public Works - deliver efficient responsive, and cost-effective services to the citizens of Ventura County by planning, designing, constructing operating and maintaining: roads, water and sanitation, flood protection and other county facilities. The Public Works Agency includes the county surveyor and also provides services such as land development review, integrated waste management, recycling, water resource protection and ecosystem restoration.

Ventura County Transportation Commission (VCTC) - is a governing board whose primary responsibility is to keep Ventura County moving! The Commission develops and implements transportation policies, projects, funding and priorities for a wide variety of projects.

Ventura County Building and Safety - provides service to the public by verifying safe building design and construction through the enforcement of building codes and standards.

Ventura County GIS Maps - GIS activities and services at the County of Ventura are coordinated and administered centrally by County GIS, a division of the Information Technology Services Department. Information such as the map projection, source, source map scale, development methodology and contact person is provided in Ventura County's GIS metadata. Ventura County Department of Environmental Health - protects public health and the environment by ensuring conformance with State laws and County ordinances pertaining to the following programs: food protection, hazardous materials, hazardous waste, individual sewage disposal systems, land use, medical waste, ocean water quality monitoring, recreational health, solid waste, underground fuel tanks, and vector control. The Environmental Health Division also interacts with various federal, state, regional, and local governmental agencies associated with environmental health programs.

The California Regional Economies Project is currently the lead mechanism for these efforts.

Small Business Award Program  – The annual CoolCalifornia Small Business Award Program is administered by the California Air Resources Board.  The program recognizes small California businesses and organizations (under 100 employees) that have demonstrated exceptional leadership and made notable, voluntary achievements towards reducing their climate impact.

Small Business Financial Resources - The first thing every small business interested in state and federal stimulus projects should know is you are NOT too late. Most of the money designated for federal stimulus projects is still available and will be distributed over the next two years. Furthermore, the stimulus funding is divided into 10 general categories, across multiple agencies, all with varying timelines. Central California Small Business Development Center (CCSBDC) – Grow your business here.  Programs are part of the United States Small Business Administration's national network of SBDC’s.  As such, the programs leverage local, state and federal dollars to strengthen small businesses, and thus, positively impact the state's economy.  The SBDC’s facilitate the success of small business through business management counseling and training, resulting in economic impacts such as the creation and retention of jobs increases in sales and profits, new business starts and more.

The Ventura County Chapter of SCORE - The counselors of SCORE Ventura County are active and retired successful business owners and managers. Our counselors volunteer their experience and knowledge to help established business owners and potential business owners achieve success.
